Zoom is making its revenue orchestration ambitions increasingly difficult to ignore.
When Zoom acquired Common Room in July, I described the move as an unexpected contender joining the race to consolidate the modern sales stack from the communications corner of the market.
At Dreamforce, Zoom took the next step and unveiled a broader vision for an AI-powered Revenue Operating System.
The company introduced Zoom Engage for multichannel outbound sequencing and Zoom Forecast for forecasting. Both are significant additions, underscoring the impressive pace at which Zoom continues to expand its suite.
Zoom is also pushing the envelope of what a unified sales stack can look like by combining sales execution and revenue intelligence with buyer intelligence and customer communications. The result is a broader proposition than traditional revenue orchestration, bringing together sales engagement, conversation intelligence, revenue intelligence, buyer intelligence, and customer communications.
The timing is notable. In September, IDC named Zoom a Leader in its inaugural MarketScape for Unified Revenue Orchestration Platforms, while Forrester recognized Zoom as a Strong Performer in its latest Revenue Orchestration Platforms Wave.
In just a few months, Zoom has made a name for itself in the crowded SalesTech market, moving well beyond its initial positioning around meetings and conversation intelligence.
