Interesting development in the conversational AI space.
Yellow.ai announced it is going public via a SPAC merger with Bluerock Acquisition Corp.
As part of the process, it provided several interesting data points: revenue of $34M and enterprise value of $300M.
The most notable aspect is the company’s strategy.
Yellow.ai sees the BPO market as a major growth opportunity. The company plans to use the $200M raised through the transaction to acquire and roll up BPOs, transforming them into AI-native operations powered by its platform.
That ambition mirrors the direction companies like Crescendo have started to pursue.
At the same time, incumbent BPOs are not standing still and investing aggressively in building their own technology platforms. In its latest quarterly results, TP highlighted the growing traction of its TP.ai platform, with 1,100 AI projects now in production and 270 launched in the last quarter.
With Yellow.ai becoming public, we’ll gain much greater visibility into the transformation of the BPO market.
