Capacity just raised over $90M, bringing total funding to $155M in equity and debt to date.
The company has largely flown under the radar, but it has been a prolific acquirer, snapping up a dozen CX companies:
Call Criteria – Quality management for contact centers (acquired in 2025)
Verbio – Voice agents (acquired in 2025)
YouCanBookMe – Scheduling platform (acquired in 2025)
CereProc – Customizable TTS (acquired in 2024)
SmartAction – Virtual agents (acquired in 2024)
Envision – Agent coaching and workforce engagement management (acquired in 2024)
Lucy AI – Enterprise search and knowledge management (acquired in 2024)
Linc – Conversational commerce (acquired in 2024)
LumenVox – Speech processing and voice biometrics (acquired in 2023)
Denim Social – Social campaigns (acquired in 2023)
Textel – SMS customer engagement (acquired in 2023)
These acquisitions have helped Capacity scale to over 20,000 customers. The trajectory resembles that of Upland Software, another serial acquirer known for amassing a diverse portfolio of CX technologies.
But this spree also underscores an inconvenient truth about the CX market: the gold rush of the late 2010s and early 2020s has left it overcrowded.
Once Capacity finishes integrating this broad and pretty unique set of contact center and customer engagement technologies, it will be interesting to see how it brings together such a diverse portfolio.
